The text from the main discussion section of the David Brown Forum up to 2018, and a few posts from 2023 are available to be searched.

Only the text from the posts/replies is available. No images, and formatting is very simplistic. Replies quoting previous replies could be hard to differentiate.

Search Tips

Search functionality is currently an AND operation. Search will contain results where all terms are found.

Add tractor model to the search and results will be constrained to only posts and replies mentioning that tractor model. The following will return results constrained to 990 tractors.
Example: "Final drive bearing 990"

Searching by post or reply author:

You can add poster or commenter names to constrain results to the ones where certain people replied. The following example will return results where the post and replies contain "spool valve" where Ollek and Db2d replied.
Example: "spool valve ollek db2d"

Return all posts with replies by a certain person:
"commentauthors:ollek" returns all posts with replies by Ollek

Return all posts that were authored by a certain person:
"postauthor:db2d"

Be aware that Search functionality may change in the future

History

The David Brown Tractor Club site was hacked in early 2023 and the Forum where thousands of posts and comments on repair, maintenance, and general discussion on David Brown Tractors were lost.

The David Brown Tractor Club had the data from the Forum restored, but data from 2018 forward was unfortunately lost. In late 2023 the site was hacked again, and the Forum is unrecoverable.

However, during the restoration timeframe, screen grabs of the text of the forum's main section were saved. This data is what is on this site.

It is important to save what we can regarding these tractors. This site was built so that commentary from experts such as Db2d, Ollek, Erkki and many others can continue to live on in hopes of helping others that are keeping these David Brown Tractors alive.

This site is a work in progress and may change.

In memory of Karl-Olof Kullberg - aka "Ollek"
