Power difference between the 1394 and 1494

Just looking at the specification for both these tractors and noticed that they have the same engines. How could the 1494 have 11hp difference using the same engine?

If so, is it possible to tune the 1394 engine to the same power as the 1494 without harming the engine or gearbox? Again, if so, how would this be possible?

There is quite a lot of difference between the engines the more knowledgable chaps on the foram know more than me both have turbos, the 1494 engine has a bigger crankshaft to withstand the exra fuel and turbo boost, great tractor the 1494 derated from the 1400 series which had the inline pump. thats all i know. 1494 has a bigger crankshaft and a more fuel. Everything else is the basically same.

The 1410/12 have the same engine with an inline pump and make even more power.

i have a 1394 that i have increased the fuel on, probably has more power than a 1494! turbos are the same in both and 13 has smaller crank journals. the radiators are smaller on a 13 aswell so watch for overheating in hot weather. transmission is the same so will handle more power no worries
